Sold So very Bridgerton. An absolutely charming turquoise flower “forget me not” ring from the early 19th Century. Turquoise cluster rings similar to this one were popular for over 100 years, well into the 1920’s, but this is a very early example of our sincere and sentimental bloom – rendered in 18ct gold, set with oval cut turquoise cabochons with a little rose cut diamond nestled into the centre. Tiny forget-me-not blooms are engraved into the shoulders for that extra pinch of delightful. A cherished treasure from times long past. Manufacture Handmade in 18ct gold, there are no hallmarks present which is in keeping for the era. The gold purity has been verified by XRF test. Plump egg-shaped turquoise cabochons of robins egg blue form a six-petaled forget-me-not flower with trefoil shoulders. A tiny natural diamond rests in the centre of this sentimental bloom. The gemstones have been verified as natural earth-mined gems by an independent gemologist. Each of the stones is held in place in a closed-back cramp setting. At the shoulders you will find hand engraved forget me not blooms, leading to a reeded shank. The face of the ring measures 11mm x 19.87mm. Sits 4.28mm high on the finger. Weighs 3.34 grams. Size (Aus/UK) L (USA) 5.75 (International) 51 while sizing is possible it is not recommended, simply because this ring shows no signs of having ever been resized since it was made 200 years ago. I am happy to provide a quote for resizing upon request – because of the shoulders it will not be able to go up or down many sizes. Condition Excellent. It is in perfect original condition. There are some small greenish spots on the shoulder turquoises, this is a normal occurrence for turquoise that has been exposed to oils and is remarkably minor for a ring of this age. Ready for immediate wear, but please wear with care and reverence.
