Kisses In Abundance : Early 20th Century Engraved Diamond Half Eternity Band in 18ct Gold and Platinum

It’s all the tiny details that make this antique half eternity band extra, extra special. The fine white diamonds are nestled into a bed of platinum, keeping them safe in the hardwearing white metal. The platinum itself is set within a band of 18ct yellow gold, hand engraved over every millimetre with patterns that bestow abundance and speak of love. The outer perimeter of the band is engraved with a repeating pattern of x’s representing kisses. The engraving on the sides of the band is of kernels of wheat – wheat is a traditional marriage motif representing abundance and fertility. Manufacture:  Handmade in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum top, hallmarked to the inside of the band with early 20th Century hallmarks 18c and Plat for 18 carat gold and Platinum. Ten fine white single cut diamonds are grain set into the platinum top of the band. The diamonds have been assessed by an independent gemologist as natural diamonds, and graded as F-G in colour, Si1 in clarity. The total carat weight is approximately 0.2 carats or 20 points. The yellow gold band is exquisitely hand engraved on the sides and perimeter. The band is 2.24mm wide at the top, gently tapering to 2.14mm at the back of the band. Weighs 2.12 grams. Size:  (Aus/UK) O (USA) 7.75 (International) 55 resizing is possible but will interrupt the engravings. Condition:  Excellent antique condition with no faults to note. The ring has been professionally polished with all settings checked and tightened.
