Dear Daddy Long Legs : Mid Century Spider Brooch in 14ct with Ruby Eyes and Akoya Pearl Abdomen

Sold I can hear all the entomologists yelling “that’s not a Daddy Long Legs!”. It’s ok guys, I know – but I don’t know if it’s really any particular kind of spider or an eponymous “everyman’ kind of spider. If you know, will you tell me please? In any case, she’s a very friendly fellow, one might expect her to do a little dance if she felt so inclined. I do believe she could also be quite fierce if provoked – those little fangs hiding underneath her watchful eyes look like they mean business. Best to stay on her best side. It’s all the little details that make this spider extra special, putting aside the high quality gemstones for a  moment, you’ll be pleased to note the details at every joint of the leg, and the sweet little feet! Manufacture:  Modelled in 14ct gold, hallmarked 14k with makers mark IPS to the underside of the body. IPS is the makers mark employed by the Imperial Pearl Syndicate, based in the United States, who have a reputation for producing high-quality pearls and have been in the pearl business for over 100 years. They have a rigorous grading system that ensures their pearls meet strict quality standards. The brooch fastens with a roll-over safety clasp. The gemstones have been verified by an indepenent gemologist. The pearl is a very high quality (AAA) 6.7mm diameter Akoya pearl, and the eyes are natural round cut rubies.
