Mary Somerville was one of the first women admitted to the Royal Astronomical Society. She wrote several textbooks on physical sciences, geography, and molecular & microscopic sciences. Some of these texts were used into the 20th century. Diloolie produced this portrait for us as part of our Heroes & Inspirations project.
